Experimental studies of QCLs were supported by the Russian Science Foundation (project no. 21-72-30020).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"around-button\"><b>Abstract:<\/b> We report the results of a comparison of metal\u2013dielectric mirror coatings for mid-IR quantum-cascade lasers (QCLs). Samples of QCLs with Al<sub>2<\/sub>O<sub>3<\/sub>\/Ti\/Au and SiO<sub>2<\/sub>\/Ti\/Au optical coatings are fabricated and their characteristics are studied. It is shown that the use of metal\u2013dielectric mirror coatings allows the output optical power of devices to be increased up to 93% and their threshold currents to be reduced by 1.25 times.<\/div>\n<div class=\"around-button\"><b>Keywords:<\/b> <i>quantum-cascade laser, highly reflective mirrors, output power, IR range.<\/i><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><b>Received:<\/b> 13.07.2023<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>K.
